Our House Christmas Present

New furniture for our Great room. The sofa has powered reclining seats on each end, the chair is a rocker/recliner, and our theater loveseat has cup holders and a remote control storage bin between 2 rocker/recliner seats! Now we can comfortably seat 6 for movie watching!

Tree removal

Chip is cutting down the big hickory tree that blew over on Sunday one small piece at a time. Luckily, another tree stopped it before it hit the house!

Stormy Weather

Monday morning starts off calm and quiet after a weekend of record rains and fierce winds (and power outages). We have a large tree uprooted and resting atop the house, a section of fence blew down, numerous missing and broken lanterns, and the gazebo cover ripped to shreds. Of course, the pool is big mess too. A lot of clean-up to do today...

Triceratops Encounter at Islands of Adventure

I got up close to a Triceratops today. She is larger than an elephant! This exhibit in Jurassic Park is only open during very busy times like Christmas and Easter break.
