I want to name it Carl or Coraline, depending on whether it's a boy or a girl. It's a Florida Coral Snake, over 3 feet long. It lives under our pool pump. It's reclusive, but it doesn't mind photos. It has the second deadliest venom in the U.S., next to the rattlesnake. (And the U.S. supply of anti-venom runs out in October, but it's ok if you don't mind having a machine do all your breathing for a week.)
Also, this one is quite fast when he wants to be, and he's tough enough to survive a direct hit from a shovel thrown at his head from point-blank range.
Whoa... somehow I think the answer to that needs to be 'NO' .. lol
ReplyDeleteWow, sounds like a great pet. You can bring it to a con and have it hang out with a great costume. [We just had a swarm of bees appear on our front lawn, 4 feet above the ground, well over a thousand bees hanging in a big clump, we ended up having a professional exterminator come in.]
